How the heck do I understand all of those numbers?
This chart is meant to answer the question "How often does type X beat type Y?".
The lower-left portion (below the diagonal) of the table will always correspond to raw metrics.
The upper-right portion (above the diagonal) will always correspond to 1630 weighted metrics.
The winning type will start along the left hand side of the chart. The losing type will start along the top of the chart.
Clicking the "Invert Table" button flips the winning type to the top and losing type to the side. Weighted/Raw metrics do not change locations.
The diagonal of this chart does not contain a percentage because mirror matches are non-sensical (i.e. bug always wins in bug vs. bug).
Instead, a +/- system is shown where "points" are given to each type based on it's number of favorable matchups. There are two values, which correspond to the weighted and raw statistics. Format: weighted/raw
A Color Filter helps highlight the "extreme" matchups:
A terrible matchup: 0-30%, red, -2 on the point system
A bad matchup: 30-40%, light red, -1 on the point system
A neutral matchup: 40-60%, gray, +0 on the point system
A good matchup: 60-70%, light green, +1 on the point system
An awesome matchup: 70-100%, green, +2 on the point system
"But scp, you forgot about half the matchups! I'm planning to troll all those evil Water users in the high ladder with my Grass team. I want to know how often Water beats Grass using the 1630 weighted metrics, but I can't find that on the chart."
Click the invert table button and it will display how often Water beats Grass. Click it again to return to how often Grass beats Water.
Surely there were some ties! That will change the win percentage!
You're right, there are some ties. However, when I was figuring out how to efficiently display all this information I noticed ties were causing changes well past the 2nd decimal place, so we are ignoring them.
